Love Letters (2023)

For this collection I was heavily inspired by the Medieval and Renaissance Revivals during the 1960s and the desire for escapism that caused them. I’m also fascinated by bits of history, specifically the more peculiar and forgotten ones such as Victorian mourning jewelry, Lover’s Eyes, and flower language. Symbolism found in things such as flower language appeals to me as I can be shy and the idea of speaking without speaking in such a beautiful and romantic way is appealing to me. I wanted to combine these elements to create a surreal and whimsical collection for romanticizing one’s everyday life.
